Vascoeuil castle

The castle is situated at the border of Lyons’ forest and at the heart of the Andelle valley. The castle has an octagonal tower of the 12th century, annex buildings from the 17th century, and a dove tower with the original moving ladder. It is today a renowned art centre.

This domain opened to the public in 1970 after a remarkable architectural and landscape restoration. It hosted the works of the greatest contemporary artists such as Braque, Buffet, Chemiakin, Cocteau, Dali and even Delvaux.

There is a French garden and an English park, bordered by meanderings and waterfalls of the river Crevon. In the park, you can admire about 60 sculptures made in bronze, marble, mosaic and ceramic.

During the high season, temporary exhibitions of paintings and sculptures are organized on the 3 floors of the castle, but also at the Gallery and the Dove Tower.
Temporary events are also organised during the season.

Offered services: tea room – restaurant, shop – book shop, free car park, toilets. Pushchairs can access this site. Animals accepted on a leash only.
